Weber Shandwick’s Global Strategic Media Group (GSMG) comprises a team of experienced media strategists and former journalists. They focus on delivering media relations at the highest level for global corporate clients.
The team is cited in key media hubs including London, Brussels, Beijing, Hong Kong, New York and Shanghai. In Brussels the team is focused on the 1400 strong Brussels Press Corps which reports on the EU institutions and NATO. It works with clients to identify policy hooks that are relevant to their business and provide a peg on which to build a wider story. The Brussels media consists of a number of elements: a handful of Brussels focused media which have local circulation and are influential with politicians and policy makers; the international media and wires such as the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal and Reuters; and the representatives from the media of the EU27 and beyond who report from Brussels in their national media.
The team comprises native language speakers from most of the EU markets so is able to work with journalists and media titles on the ground in developing stories and media opportunities.
Our consultants have strong relationships with key journalists and media around the globe and have an unrivaled knowledge of the global media agenda and how to align with it. We work as a team with our colleagues in different geographies to deliver strategies and media outreach as an essential part of our clients' corporate reputation programmes.
